So many to give to, so little time!! Not sure about you, but that's how I'm feeling right now. So, I thought I'd share these super simple gifts we put together last year for our neighbors. I call it the "Sweet and Cozy Christmas" gift . . .
My favorite part of the gift are the chocolate and peppermint marshmallow stir sticks. I used a mix of jumbo and normal size marshmallows. It's so easy to make - just melt milk chocolate, dip the marshmallows and cover in crushed peppermint. There are tons of these floating around on Pinterest, but I got the original idea from the Liv Life blog. Check-out these super cute Candy Cane Marshmallow Pops. Here's how mine turned out . . .
As for the hot cocoa, I splurged on really, really good cocoa from Starbucks. To help the $$ stretch a bit farther, I gave one packet per person in the family. This helped reduce the amount of cocoa boxes I had to buy. Then, I added some festive Hershey's chocolate kisses to finish off the gift.
To package everything, I found cute Christmas trays at our local grocery store HEB. I always forget that they have really cute and reasonable holiday items like this! And the individual trays were perfect to separate each of the items . . .
Finally, I added a little tag that thanked our neighbors for being so sweet. Here's the printable neighbor tag and a variety of blank tags for you to download and make your own gifts - Download Holiday gift Tags . . .
There's so many ways to customize this gift and make it even easier! You could skip melting chocolate, and just do plain marshmallows stuck to the end of peppermint sticks. You could also do mugs instead of the tray. The main thing is that this "Sweet & Cozy Christmas Gift" shows you care, but also saves YOU time :)
