I love March, but it's a super busy month - especially when Easter comes early like this year! So, when I was trying to decide what to do for a tablescape, I wanted to keep it super simple. Who knew that plastic eggs are the perfect little holder for tealight candles! All you have to do is add a little flair!
I got this sweet little "lace tape" at Michaels for 99 cents!
It took me less than 10 min to tape the lace around more than 10 eggs (so less than a minute for each egg). I decided to go with just white lace tape for my eggs, but because of the great deal I got lots of colors!
I did play around with all the colors, but decided the eggs are colorful enough. Plus - with all this color, I like how the white is a common thread that weaves it all together.
A WORD OF CAUTION: I wouldn't let these burn out of your sight for a long period. I tested mine and they did fine, but just to be safe, I'll only be burning these while they are on the table during our Easter lunch (so I can keep an eye on them :) Another option would be to use faux tealight candles.
Let me know if you end-up making these ... they are so easy!!
